Four-day tour will allow you to visit the main temples in small and big cycle of archaeological park and floating village on Tonle Sap. You will visite Ta Prohm temple, where the Hollywood movie called “Tomb Raider” was made, and the most famous Angkor Wat and others temples such as : Bayon, elephant terrace, Baphoun, Pre Rup Neak Pean, Preah Khan.
Day 1 : Visit the main temple of small tour, Ta Prohm, Bayon and Angkor Wat

In the morning you can enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before starting the tour. Our English speaking guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at 8am. Before starting the tour, they will first take you to the ticket counter where you can buy your Angkor Pass. The process of purchasing the Angkor Pass is very simple and quick.
The starting point is Ta Prohm, a temple where the roots of trees have invaded the roofs and galleries of the temple. Ta Prohm is one of the most atmospheric Buddhist temples in the Angkor Park. This temple was built by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th and early 13th centuries. The Hollywood film “Tomb Raider” (starring Angelina Jolie) made this temple famous. When you arrive at the temple, you will be surprised by the unique atmosphere created by the ancient temple, which is half covered with large tree roots.
After the first temple, you will continue your visit to the Bayon Temple, which is located in the centre of the ancient city of Angkor Thom. This huge temple was the last capital of the Khmer Empire under the reign of King Jayavarman VII. This ancient city is surrounded by a great wall, 7 metres high and 3 km long on each side, forming a perfect square. Bayon is one of the most amazing state temples of King Jayavarman VII built in Angkor, it consisted of many towers with large mysterious stone portals facing the four cardinal points. After Bayon you will visit the Elephant Terrace and Baphoun Temple, one of the largest Hindu mountain temples in Angkor Thom near Bayon. The main attraction of the 11th century Baphoun is the third level view and a large reclining Buddha (70m long and 7m high) located on the west side. A small 10th century pyramidal temple called ‘Phimeanakas’, built by King Rajendravaman and dedicated to the Hindu god, is located inside the ancient Royal Palace on the left side of the Baphoun temple. You will take a break for lunch, our guide will recommend you a simple local restaurant.

Originally built by King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire and then converted into a Buddhist temple, Angkor is considered to be the largest religious monument in the world. On arrival, you will be struck by the majesty and beauty of its stunning architecture. Visit the epic scenes on the temple walls with our experienced guide. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992, Angkor is the symbol of the country and the 3 towers of this temple are featured on the current Cambodian flag. Return to your hotel after the visit.
Pickup at 8am, today your starting point is Banteay Srei temple. It is also known as the “citadel of women”, located around 40 km from Siem Reap town. Banteay Srei, dating from the 10th century, is a well-preserved of pink sandstone temple with beautiful motifs and scenes of Hindu mythology. It’s a small one, but the most beautiful temple in Angkor. On the way back from temple, you will see a lot of small stores along the road where local people selling their sugar palm and others handmade products. It is possible to stop in the village of Pradak for a demonstration of making palm sugar. Continue your visit to a 12th-century temple of Banteay Samré, dedicated to Vishnu and Civa. Break for lunch in the afternoon.
After lunch and a moment’s rest, you will finish your day by visit three major temples in Roluos group. Located about 13 km east of Siem Reap along road N6 and north of Tonle Sap, Roluos is a Cambodia archeological site and it was the first capital of Khmer Empire, the beginning of classical period of khmer civilization, dating from the late 9th century.
Lolei the last of three main temple was built in the city of Hariharalay by Khmer King Yasovarman I in early of 9th century dedicated to Shiva god and members of the Royal family. This temple was located on an island slightly north of the center in the now dry indratataka Baray. You will continue to Preah Ko temple. Located also in the ancient city of Hariharalaya, Preah Ko a five towers temple in break, was built under the Khmer king Indravarman I in 9th century to honor members of the king’s family and also to Shiva god.
The last temple is Bakong, located only about 1 km from Preah Ko in the same group of Roluos, Bakong was the first Khmer temple mountain of sandstone (pyramid) built in the final decades of the 9th century AD by king indravarman I in the ancient city of Hariharalaya. The Khmer temple architecture of Bakong is similar to the Borobudur temple in Java. Return to Siem Reap after the visit.
Pickup at 8am, you will visit a local market, it is so interesting in the early morning. People selling vegetables, fruits, meats, fish and much more. After that, you will visit Tonle Sap lake (floating village). Tonlé Sap is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and one of the most diverse and productive ecosystems in the world. It has been designated as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1997 due to its high biodiversity.
The inhabitants of this village are accustomed to living with the both seasons, the monsoon and the dry season, most of them earn their lives with fishing and agricultures. We can visit the village by walking in the dry season and visit by boat in the rainy season. The children of this village go to school and back homes by boats in the monsoon.
Before arriving the Tonle Sap Lake to enjoy a nice view and mangrove, you will take a boat from the riverbank drive slowly crossing the village with many houses builds on huge stilts of 6 to 7 meters high in other to avoid floods on the both sides of canal. In the rainy season, the children will go to school and back home by boat and some villagers selling vegetables, fruits and others daily life’s product on their boat in the village. Turn back to the main road and break for lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch and a moment of rest, we will return to Siem Reap to visit a beautiful pagoda in the centre of Siem Reap and visit Artisan d’Angkor. Artisan d’Angkor is an enterprise for the rehabilitation of Cambodian art, techniques and craftsmanship led by a handful of French artisans supported by various European organizations. You will see how wooden or sandstone statues was made, and the Cambodian artisans works on carving, paining and much more. At the end of the visite, you will admire the final products were made by hands and show in an air conditioned store. It is possible to buy some for the souvenir if you like.

Today, you will discover the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire, which ruled a huge area including Cambodia, Thailand, Laos and a large part of Vietnam, in the 13th century. Your starting point will be Preah Khan temple. Built in the 12th century under the rein of King Jayavarman VII to dedicated to his father, Preah Khan mean ”the sacred sword” was built on the site of Jayavarman VII’s victory over the Champa invaders in early 13 century. Preah Khan was a pagoda of Buddhist monks and a Buddhist university. Preah Khan is one of the biggest buddhism temple in the big cycle. Continue to Neak Peon temple meaning “coiled naga”. Built in the late 12th century by the same King Jayavarman VII, dedicated to Buddhism. This temple was built in the middle of an artificial basin which represents a sacred lake of Anavatapta located in the Tibetan Himalayas. And than continue to Ta Som Temple.
After Ta Som, you continue to Eastern Mebon, a 10th Century temple built during the reign of King Rajendravarman, dedicated to the Hindu, Shiva gods and also honors to his parents. This 5-tower temple was built in the middle of an artificial island at the center of the now dry East Baray reservoir. The two levels of this temple are decorated with the big elephants’ statues of sandstones. Than, Pre Rup temple. Built at the end of the 10th century by King Rajendravarman, Pre Rup is a pyramid temple consisting also of 5 brick towers dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu gods and their wives Parvati and Lakshmi.
Break for lunch. After lunch and a moment of rest, you will finish your day with Sras Srang (Royal pont), and a Buddhist temple, built in the early 13th century by King Jayavarman VII. Return to Siem Reap after the visit.

We would like to inform you that Angkor archeological park is so big. Two days tour can only visite the main temples in small and big cycle. We need to spend at less 4 to 5 days to visit the main temples including the others remote sites such as Beng Mealea, Kbal Spean, Koh Ker, Phnom Kulen and floating villages.
